Program Details:

Start your journey from novice to seasoned sailor with our Mentoring Program. It's a fantastic opportunity to practice and refine your skills after completing a basic course. Whether you aim to build confidence or simply enjoy the thrill of sailing, our experienced mentors will guide you through each step. This program offers you the chance to sail without an instructor, steadily gaining more confidence day by day.

Group Size: Minimum 2 sailors, Maximum 5 sailors

Minimum hours: 3

Schedule: Weekdays from 6pm to 9pm; Weekends by special request

Tasks and Activities:

1. Prepare the Boat for Sailing:

· Understand and execute the necessary pre-sailing checks and preparations.

· Familiarize yourself with the boat's equipment and safety protocols.

2. Check List of Departure:

· Follow a comprehensive checklist to ensure everything is ready for a safe and successful sailing trip.

· Verify all necessary items and equipment are on board and in proper working order.

3. Cast Off Procedures:

· Learn the proper techniques for casting off and leaving the dock.

· Understand the roles and responsibilities of each crew member during departure.

4. Going In/Out of Marina:

· Practice maneuvering the boat in and out of the marina safely and efficiently.

· Gain confidence in handling the boat in confined spaces and around other vessels.

5. Raise Sails:

· Master the techniques for raising the sails and setting them correctly.

· Learn how to adjust sails for different wind conditions.

6. Tacking:

· Practice tacking, the process of turning the boat through the wind.

· Understand the importance of teamwork and coordination during this maneuver.

7. Drop Off Sails:

· Learn the proper procedures for lowering the sails and securing them.

· Ensure the boat is safely prepared for docking or anchoring.

8. Team Working:

· Develop effective communication and teamwork skills.

· Understand the roles of each crew member and how to work together harmoniously.

9. Steer the Boat:

· Gain hands-on experience steering the boat under different conditions.

· Learn how to maintain a steady course and make precise adjustments.

10. Sailing Commands:

· Familiarize yourself with essential sailing commands and terminology.

· Practice responding quickly and accurately to commands from the skipper or mentor.
